Question 1

What is LaLaLanga?

Accepted Answer

LaLaLanga is a language learning web app and Chrome extension developed by LALALANGA.COM, launched in 2026 with over 2,000 active users. It is built around evidence-based acquisition techniques — shadowing, echoing, pronunciation scoring, and supervised AI coaching — for learners who understand a language but cannot yet speak it confidently. Users can learn English or Turkish, with content available in 6 language contexts: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Urdu.

Question 2

What languages can I learn on LaLaLanga?

Accepted Answer

LaLaLanga supports structured learning for English and Turkish. Practice content — videos, reading texts, phrases, and exercises — is available in 6 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Urdu. The app interface is in English and Turkish.

Question 3

How does LaLaLanga use the shadowing technique?

Accepted Answer

LaLaLanga applies shadowing directly on real YouTube videos. On the platform page, users receive daily video tasks where they shadow curated YouTube content — listening to a sentence and repeating it immediately to match native rhythm and intonation. Users can also record their pronunciations sentence by sentence; the recordings are saved in order and can be downloaded as a single continuous self-listen audio, which builds familiarity with hearing your own voice in the target language.

Question 4

What is Echo Mode in LaLaLanga and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Echo Mode is a pronunciation scoring feature available in reading texts and the daily platform tasks. When you activate it, you read each sentence aloud and receive a real-time pronunciation score showing how accurately you spoke. This applies the echoing technique — repeating modeled speech with immediate feedback. Echo Mode is available on the Reading Practice page and on the main platform page during text-based daily tasks.

Question 5

What is the Self-Listen feature in LaLaLanga?

Accepted Answer

Self-Listen lets you record your voice while practicing with YouTube videos or reading texts. LaLaLanga stores your recordings in sequence — one per sentence — and lets you listen to them in order or download them as a single audio file. Hearing your own voice delivering real content builds speaking confidence. All recordings are stored in My Records, categorized by the video or text where you made them.

Question 6

What does the LaLaLanga platform page offer daily?

Accepted Answer

The platform page gives users daily language tasks in their target language: text-based tasks and video-based tasks. Text tasks support listening, reading, Echo Mode pronunciation scoring, and word-click to see a word's meaning in that exact sentence or in different sentence structures. Video tasks include YouTube shadowing, word-level context lookup, pronunciation recording, and self-listen audio creation. From reading tasks, users can also generate a karaoke-style video and share it on other platforms.

Question 7

How does the LaLaLanga Learn curriculum work?

Accepted Answer

The Learn section offers A1-to-C1 daily lessons tailored to the learner's native language and target language, designed to take someone from zero to proficiency. After each lesson batch, exercises reinforce the material. Every two days, dedicated reading and listening sessions develop comprehension and speaking ability. The curriculum applies vocabulary-based learning, sentence-structure mapping between the learner's two languages, dialogue building, and Echo Build — a dialogue improvement technique based on the echoing method.

Question 8

What is the LaLaLanga Feed?

Accepted Answer

The LaLaLanga Feed is a vertical scroll-based practice format for learners with very little time. Each card shows a sentence in the target language, its translation, and highlights key vocabulary to support visual memory. After each sentence the user can choose to shadow it aloud. At the end of the session, a vocabulary game lets you practice the words from that feed. It is built specifically for short, active practice in time-constrained moments.

Question 9

What is the Phrases page in LaLaLanga?

Accepted Answer

The Phrases page is LaLaLanga's alternative to PlayPhrase. You search any word or phrase and the platform shows YouTube video clips in which native speakers use that phrase in real, unscripted context. Each supported language has approximately 100,000 indexed phrases and words, letting you see exactly how language is used in authentic speech.

Question 10

How does the LaLaLanga word bank work?

Accepted Answer

While using YouTube videos or reading texts, clicking any word shows its meaning in that specific sentence and how it appears in different sentence structures. Saved words go into your personal word bank, where every word is a card you can search or filter by the video or text you found it in. You can add notes, attach reminder GIFs or clips to any word, and export your full word bank to Notion or PDF.

Question 11

What is Context Coach in LaLaLanga?

Accepted Answer

Context Coach is for learners who need to prepare for a specific real-world situation — a job interview, a business trip, a presentation — and have limited time. You explain your scenario and the concepts you need to handle. A tightly supervised AI builds an accelerated learning plan matched to your available time, then updates it the next day based on your errors and scenario. The output is purposeful and situation-specific — not generic AI content. The goal is to reduce the exact moments where you will struggle.

Question 12

Does LaLaLanga have a Chrome extension?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The LaLaLanga Chrome extension lets you apply shadowing, pronunciation scoring, and word-level context lookup on any YouTube video directly in your browser. For custom videos, the extension is the recommended tool. For richer content with deeper metadata, the curated video library on the platform gives better results. The extension is available on the Chrome Web Store.
